This
week I watched most of the Republican convention-
I found pretty much all the speakers to be either
delusional or just downright ignorant, with the exception
of McCain; Hearing his story caused me to respect
what he has done for this country even more; his selection
of Sarah Palin however completely negates any respect
I have for him. Palin is a tremendously charismatic
public speaker, but she uses it to bash and tear down
the Democrats unfairly, she only gives half the truth
on her economic record, and for those conservative
issues that she feels strongly about like making all
abortions illegal even in the case of rape- those
things she knows the people of this country will not
accept, she does not speak about that. I can't wait
for the debates when they are all forced to talk about
the issues.
Obama
is fairing well in the polls, nationally he's ahead
by 2% after the Republican convention- when it's broken
down by state though, 13 are solidly for and 5 strongly
lean toward Obama; 238 electoral votes he can almost
certainly count on, he only needs 32 more to win the
presidency.
