Teresa
and I are finished with season one of Battlestar
Galactica, and I must say that it's one of the
best TV show ever. I will always love Star Trek
more, but BSG is just an epic story that swings
from tragedy to triumph or vise versa in each
episode.

Tonight
I went out to eat with Mom, Carrie and Jason at
Boomer's. Jason got Carrie and engagement ring,
so I guess it's official now. Our waitress tried
to hold all four of our plates without a tray,
and unfortunately mine got dropped- It was a good
evening though.

It
was a good weekend, I got a number of things done,
organized some... I completely rewired all my
wires and cables on my computers and related devices
last night. Friday Teresa and I watched the remainder
of Heroes, I can't wait for the new season, but
now I ponder we might pick another series to watch.
Alan
Greenspan has a new book out where he talks about
the last six presidents he has worked for, and
remarkably he picked Clinton as his favorite and
the most fiscally responsible- quite a complement
from a Republican! He had negative and fairly
critical things to say about every Republican
except for Regan. David Vitter, a Republican Senator from Louisiana,
confessed to being a client of the D.C. Madam,
but apparently Republicans don't seem to have
as great of a moral objection to Vitter's infidelity
as they did with Senator Craig's... The big difference
between Vitter and Craig- is that Idaho has a
Republican Governor and Craig's replacement will
be a Republican, and Louisiana has a Democratic
Governor, so Republicans seem quite happy for
the story to go away.

Today
reminded me of the new IBM commercial where the
irrational exec fellow is shrieking "The
servers are too HOT!" and the tech fellow
says how their new IBM BladeCenter runs cooler....
There was a whining noise coming from the server
room, and apparently in the early hours of the
morning the chiller for the room failed, the room
started to get warm, the SANs logged overheating
events, and the three new NASes failed- they also
couldn't reboot after we turned them off, which
was very worrisome as they are new, but after
they cooled down some they were able to boot and
nothing appears to have been damaged permanently.

I
haven't accomplished much this weekend so far,
just played with the new computer today, worked
on the Heavenly Pet site some, added some pictures
to my last two blog posts. Last month was completely
meh for my stocks- they're now below the amount
I put in.

Monday
morning on a big three-day weekend and I've been
up tinkering with computers
all
night. With my main computer slipping into greater
uselessness and my newest computer that I never
quite could get to work I finally decided it was
time to try a few things... I took both completely
apart and took all the best parts that I knew
worked well and reassembled the fifth incarnation
of Tachyon...
Today
Teresa & I went to help Mary Lou pick out
a kitty. Darrell had an excess of kitties at his
house so we went out there and he had the cutest,
smallest, friendliest kitty you ever saw.
